Where’s the beef?

About four months ago, Finley’s dad and I decided to stop eating beef.  We don’t buy it at the grocery store, and don’t choose it on the menu when we go out to eat.  Pretty simple really—and after learning that eating beef is the third major contributor to climate change—we’re feeling pretty empowered.   The biggest problem is that cows burp methane and consume large amounts of fertilizer-dependant feed.  An amazing 30% of all terrestrial land on Earth is used for livestock, and according to the Union of Concerned Scientists it will be impossible to meet the 2-degree climate goal if livestock pollution isn’t part of the mix.  So put down that hamburger, and join us for a nice pulled pork sandwich. Easy.
